Effnet ROHC™ 2.3.
Effnet announces a new release of Effnet ROHC™. Effnet ROHC™ is a highly portable software implementation of the header compression technology based on the IETF standard, RFC3095. The product provides great value addition when used in wireless IP multimedia environments and is therefore used by many leading telecom companies.
The latest release of Effnet ROHC™ has many new features and is fully compliant with RFC 4815. RFC4815 updates RFC3095 by providing corrections, additions and clarifications and thereby improving interoperability.
The Effnet ROHC™ 2.3 work seamlessly with other Effnet header compression products. This means that a broad range of protocol headers can be compressed away.
The software may be run in redundant configuration in order to properly handle various system failures. Effnet ROHC™ which is a highly portable software has now also been tested on the Nucleus operating system which among other is being used on various terminals. Effnet ROHC™ has previously been tested on the following operating systems: VxWorks, Linux, FreeBSD, Windows and Solaris. The results of performance testing on x86, ARM, MIPS and PowerPC processors are available to interested parties.
